Research

OASIS was created in April 2010. OASIS has access to top hospitalization, laboratory, imaging and surgical facilities. It has developed a better understanding of animal models for osteoarthritis (OA) and intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD).

Dia 5The prevalence of naturally occuring OA has been assessed in the population of sheep used for research.

Advanced imaging techniques to evaluate OA and IVDD have been assessed and compared (computed tomography, magnetic resonnance imaging).

New models of OA are currently under development.

The  objectives are to investigate key pathological and imaging events in the onset and development of osteoarticular pathologies  and to help in developing and testing new therapeutic strategies.
