Mass Spectrometry Service

The Mass Spectrometry technology platform from the University of Namur (MaSUN) includes facilities located in three distinct research units members of the Namur Research Institute for Life Sciences (NARILIS), the Namur Medicine & Drug Innovation Center (NAMEDIC) and the Unit of organic chemistry  (UCO).
The platform is accessible to the scientific community and is equipped for the analysis and characterization of small molecules as well as for projects dealing with many aspects of proteomics.
In 2014, the research Center NAMEDIC has received funding from the FNRS for buying a new mass spectrometer. It is intended to quantify small molecules in complex media such as plasma. This new equipment will complete the offer that can be currently provided by the MaSUN platform.
